Abeba Benton-Neylon, AMFT
Abeba Benton-Neylon is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at the Child Therapy Institute in San Pablo. She holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute and has over 10 years of experience working in non-profit agencies, including Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco and Healthright360, where she provided case management, mental health services, and substance use counseling. Abeba specializes in working with children and utilizes play therapy to help younger clients express themselves and build coping skills in a supportive environment. She incorporates trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a strength-based approach to support clients in their healing process. Abeba is committed to providing culturally sensitive therapeutic services to a diverse range of individuals and uses a person-centered, relational therapy approach to empower clients in their personalgrowth. Abeba approaches her work with a positive and optimistic mindset, and she looks forward to welcoming and collaborating with new clients from all backgrounds. Outside of therapy, Abeba enjoys biking, playing pickleball, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
