Iza Moreno, Trainee

Iza (eye-zuh) Moreno (she/her/hers) is a therapist in training at the Child Therapy Institute and is completing her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling at St. Mary’s College of California. She’s a first-generation Filipina-American college graduate, born and raised in the East Bay, and her roots deeply shape the way she shows up in her work.

Since 2016, she’s had the privilege of walking alongside adolescents and adults as they navigate crisis, recovery, and growth. Most of her experience has been in community mental health, supporting clients through eating disorders, mood disorders, and acute mental health concerns.

Iza is passionate about serving her community and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. She integrates trauma-informed care, play therapy, somatic work, storytelling, and skill-building to help clients reconnect with themselves, heal, and grow.
